Online booking

Privacy policy

This policy explains how personal information you provide through this online booking page is collected, used, and protected. It is written to meet the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Who is responsible for your information

The boutique you are booking with is the organization accountable for the personal information collected on this page. Aisle is the software platform that operates the booking system on the boutique's behalf and processes your information only on the boutique's instructions.

What we collect

  • Contact details you enter: your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Appointment details: the appointment type, date and time you request, and any notes you choose to add.
  • Technical information: your device's IP address, recorded to protect the booking system against abuse and automated bookings.

How we use it

  • To create and manage your appointment.
  • To contact you about your booking, including a confirmation email and appointment reminders.
  • To keep the boutique's customer records accurate if you become a customer.
  • To prevent fraudulent or automated bookings.

By submitting the booking form you consent to these uses. We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first, and we never sell it.

Where it is stored and who sees it

Booking records are stored in a database located in Canada. Limited service providers help us operate the system, such as web hosting and email delivery providers, and some of these may process data outside Canada. Each provider is bound to use your information only to deliver its service. Within the boutique, only staff who need your booking details to serve you can see them.

How long we keep it

Appointment records are kept as long as the boutique needs them for its customer records and any legal or accounting requirements, and are deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information the boutique holds about you, ask for corrections, or withdraw your consent (which may mean the boutique can no longer hold your booking). Contact the boutique directly using the contact details on its website, and it will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
